Michael is a respected and accomplished leader with demonstrated success creating and executing business plans within early-stage companies and multinational organizations. He has more than thirty years of experience in the Information Technology industry, performing roles of Chief Executive and Senior Business Leader.

Michael enjoyed a successful fifteen-year career with IBM Canada Ltd., holding a variety of business development and management positions. After IBM, he was involved with three private ventures which achieved successful monetization. His last role was as President & CEO of Alberta based Pivot Data Centres which sold to Rogers Communications in October 2014.

Michael has a reputation for strategic thinking and creative vision, with an ability to support both through sound execution and team buy-in. He has a proven track record for business building and market share growth and his strengths include complex problem solving, negotiation and team building.

Since 2015, Michael has performed the roles Board Member and Board Advisor to multiple early-stage technology companies. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Honors from the University of Alberta.

Judy is a trailblazer, business leader and innovation eco-system builder.  She has over 30 years of diverse executive experience in digital, venture capital, strategy, environment, joint ventures, operations, technology development and public policy.  Judy is President of NeoVenture Solutions Inc, HSE Chair for Tundra Oil & Gas, Governance/HR Chair for the Public Policy Forum, Co-Chair of Calgary’s innovation strategy implementation, board director/advisor of technology funds and a Creative Destruction Lab Fellow.

She has been at the vanguard of digital integration, environmental stewardship and open innovation in the resources sector.  Judy was the First Chief Digital Officer and EVP Business Innovation of a Canadian energy company, co-founded a $100 million industry / entrepreneur venture fund and led substantial change as Board Chair of Alberta Innovates, the Alberta government entity focused on innovation in the health, energy, agriculture and digital sectors.

Judy holds a MSc degree (Chemical Engineering), an MBA and has been named a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering.

A longtime Silicon Valley executive and investor, Marty Reed moved to Vancouver in 2015 to launch Evok Innovations. Prior to Evok, Marty was a Partner with The Roda Group, a San Francisco Bay Area based, early-stage venture capital firm focused on clean technology. In that capacity, Marty lead investments and served on the board of directors for mOasis, Inventys, Gridtential and Axine.

Prior to joining The Roda Group, Marty held senior leadership positions at Roda Group companies Cardstore.com (acquired by American Greetings), Game Ready and Ask Jeeves (acquired by InterActiveCorp).

Marty holds an MBA from John F. Kennedy University and a BSc in Mathematics from Carnegie Mellon, and began his career as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy.

Nicolas is a partner with the Industrial Innovation Venture Fund (I2VF) at BDC Capital. He has more than 25 years of experience in various fields including chemical industry (ICI), equity research (Merrill Lynch), venture capital (Innovatech, Desjardins and BDC), business development in oil & gas (Torr Canada – acquired by ProSep), cleantech and project finance (Énergir – fka Gaz Métro) and fund investments (BDC). Before rejoining BDC, Nicolas was head of both Venture Capital and Fund Investments at Desjardins Capital, managing more than $400 million across these two teams.

Nicolas is a creative negotiator and team player. His prior work within the startup space has given him an appreciation for the challenges faced by entrepreneurs. He now joins VEERUM with a vast network and deep understanding of the venture capital industry, including best practices and corporate governance. Nicolas holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Laval University and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from HEC Montréal. A member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ), he has completed the private equity executive program of the Institutional Limited Partners Association (ILPA) Institute. He is also involved with Réseau Capital and Propulsion Québec.

Father of two, Nicolas enjoys motorcycling, fishing & hunting, surfing and played football for the Laval University Rouge et Or.

Jeff Tillery is a founding member and serves as Chief Operating Officer of Veriten, an energy-focused knowledge platform that brings diverse perspectives to the energy transition discussion, improving the ability of industry leaders, policy makers, and investors to make investment and strategic choices.

Jeff previously was a founding partner of Pickering Energy Partners, the predecessor firm to energy focused investment bank Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co., where he spent more than 17 years. Jeff began his TPH career as a senior equity research analyst and gained increased leadership roles including Head of Research, Head of Securities and Head of Capital Solutions over the course of 2004-2021. Prior to TPH, Jeff was a Manager in the Restructuring Group at Huron Consulting Group and an equity research analyst at Simmons & Co. International.

Glen is a corporate development leader driven to help entrepreneurial firms grow, evolve, succeed, and transition. He is the Co-Founder and Partner of Calgary-based private equity firm Ideal Well Capital Partners and also serves as Co-CFO at one of Ideal Well’s portfolio companies, TERIC Power Ltd.

With over 25 years of leadership experience in corporate development, private equity, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, corporate and infrastructure finance, and team building, Glen brings a broad perspective across industries. He has also served as a director on various private company boards, with a focus on industrial, construction, and energy transition-related firms.

Glen is married with two children. He enjoys golf, skiing, biking, surfing, and wing foiling, and he played varsity rugby at Queen’s University. He holds an MBA from the University of Calgary.

David is the CEO of VEERUM. Under his leadership, VEERUM has experienced tremendous growth, becoming a recognized powerhouse in the world of heavy-industry asset management and visualization.

Prior to joining VEERUM David was responsible for building and managing critical data centres facilities for Shaw Communications Inc as VP and GM overseeing the P&L, operations, key client relationships and product development.

Previously, he was Vice President of Enterprise Sales for Rogers Communications Inc. and Executive Vice President & Co-owner for Pivot Data Centres (a high growth firm that was acquired by Rogers Communications Inc. in 2013). David has supported clients across the world in his career.
